Axis Bank shares have edged higher in a strong market after the private sector bank reported turnaround results in the quarter ended March 2021. Axis Bank (internet axis bank)  posted a net profit of  2,677 crore for the quarter ended March 2021 owing to a steep fall in bad loan provisions. 

It had reported a loss of  1,387.8 crore during the corresponding period. At 9:30 am, the shares of Axis Bank were trading at  710, higher by 0.5 per cent on the BSE.


Axis Bank's net interest income grew by 11 percent to ₹ 7,555 crores in Q4 of FY21 (internet axis bank)   compared to ₹ 6,807.7 crores during the corresponding period.

The BSE Sensex was at 49,265.20, higher by 331.75 points or 0.68 per 0.65 percent and the NSE Nifty was at 14,745, up 91.20 points or 0.68 percent at the time.
