MUMBAI: Domestic stock markets opened higher on Tuesday (November 10). At 9.16 am, the Sensex was up 228.11 points (0.54%) at 42,825.54 and the Nifty was up 62.40 points (0.50%) at 12,523.40. At 11 pm, the Sensex was up 458 points at 43,057.

718 shares started with gains, 294 shares started with losses while 48 shares remained unchanged. Almost all stocks also traded in gains. The Nifty IT index is under pressure. 


The rupee strengthened by 8 paise to 74.06 against the dollar in early trade. The previous session ended at 74.14.

At 11 a.m., Bajaj Finance was at 5.99 per cent, IndusInd Bank at 5.45 percent, SBI at 4.53 percent, Larsen at 4.36 percent and Bajaj Finserv at 3.96 per cent. Among the top losers, Cipla lost 4.82 percent, Tech Mahindra 4.27 per cent, Infosys 3.39 percent, HCL Tech 3.29 percent and Nestle 2.40 per cent. 

The most active stocks are Reliance, Bajaj Finance, IndusInd Bank, ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank.

Those shares rallied today after announcing that their vaccine results were 90 percent positive.

At one point it blew 19 percent. In the same way, markets are moving forward with the same strength today.
