Many EMIs have been postponed due to the imposition of a moratorium on all types of loans from March 1 to August 31 in the wake of the corona. The Center has canceled the compound interest charged by banks on installments. As well as those who have paid EMIs the banks will calculate and deposit the money in the accounts.

The burden on the central government is Rs 7500 crore

About 40 per cent of the system credit and 75 per cent of the borrowers will benefit from the compound interest waiver benefit. The central government will not be burdened with Rs 7,500 crore. The Center has canceled various loans up to Rs 2 crore. Banks have been directed to pay the amount to the borrowers by November 5.
