Stock markets ended in losses on Thursday (November 12). Domestic stock markets, which were in a series of gains, took a break today. Banking and financial stocks have been under selling pressure since morning. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced a stimulus in the name of Atmanirbhar Bharat 3.0.

This effect was not seen on the markets. Markets, which had been in the red for eight days, set records in the first three sessions this week. Mid-cap and small-cube indices rose 0.5 percent. But today the indices have lost ground.

Today, the Sensex lost 236.48 points (0.54%) to close at 43,357.19 points, while the Nifty lost 58.40 points (0.46%) to close at 12,690.80. 1531 shares ended in gains, 1117 shares ended in losses and 185 shares remained unchanged.

The rupee closed at 74.66 against the dollar. The rupee opened at 74.44. It closed at 74.37 in the previous session. Nirmala Sitharaman has not been able to inflate the huge package markets at all.

The Sensex is still above 43,000 points despite the losses. Markets that started with losses in the morning showed no signs of recovery at any stage. Today's low fell to 43,136 when Nirmala Sitharaman announced the financial package.
