The victory of Democratic candidate Jobiden as President of the United States has strengthened investor sentiment. The whole world is waiting for the policy uncertainties in the American economy to be removed. As a result, international markets, Asian markets as well as Indian markets were dusted. Sensex, Nifty hit an all-time high.

                         

The Sensex was up 704.37 points (1.68%) at 42,597.43 and the Nifty was up 197.50 points (1.61%) at 12,461. The aggression of banking and IT stocks also contributed to the market gains. This has led to a huge increase in investor wealth.

Investors' wealth rose to over Rs 2 lakh crore on the back of the Sensex and Nifty aggression. 

The market capitalization of BSE listed companies increased by Rs 2,06,558.75 crore to Rs 1,65,67,257.92 crore.

Ajit Mishra of Religare Broking Ltd said, "Our markets also started this week with good gains as the international markets were in the red, mainly due to the Jobiden win."
