Shares of Alkyl Amines Chemicals NSE -4.34 % cracked over 7 per cent in Tuesday’s early trade after the company's chief financial officer Rahul Mehta resigned from the company.

The scrip traded 7.11 per cent down at Rs 2,970 at around 9.45 am, while the benchmark BSE Sensex traded 0.78 per cent down at 37,738 at around the same time.

“This is to inform you that Mr Rahul Mehta - Chief Financial Officer and Key Managerial Personnel of the Company, has tendered his resignation dated September 21, 2020 and he has been relieved from his duties with effect from the said date,” the company said in a regulatory filing.

For the latest quarter ended June 30, the company posted 50 per cent year-on-year growth in net profit at Rs 52.78 crore against Rs 35.09 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. On the other hand, net sales of the company declined 7.92 per cent YoY to Rs 245.15 crore during the quarter under review.

On a year-to-date basis, shares of the company have advanced nearly 190 per cent till September 21, while the 30-share Sensex declined nearly 8 per cent during the same period.
